After 25 years in real estate and fitness, culinary school graduate Mario DeJesse turned his love of baking into a new chapter. His belief is simple: a healthy lifestyle can still leave room for a little dessert.

It began with cookies and pound cakes at local farmers markets. With the community’s encouragement, Mario opened Mario’s Famous Cookies & More on Haddon Avenue on March 1, 2025.

As the bakery grew, he expanded to bring baking into the shop. The cinnamon rolls became a signature favorite—and helped inspire a new name: Mario’s Baking Co.

Today, Mario’s story is still about the people who made it possible: the neighbors who stop in, share a kind word, and come back for another sweet treat.
